This ring was created with the intention of starting to use up my stone collection. The design is fully created on spot with no planning and using this lovely pink/purple stone to influence the stamping. The design reminds me of the flower of life. When I make jewelry or any other type of art, I am usually entering a place of healing, introspection, or clearing of the mind. It is my time of communion with the creator. I am still trying to find out what type of stone this is and am guessing some type of quartz. Most of my stones have been given to me as gifts, and this one has proven tricky to identify. On this ring you will find my old way of signing my work by engraving Peles Song. I failed to stamp the makers mark on the back before soldering on the setting. The band is 1/4" wide, the size is 7.5 and the stone setting measures approximately 1/2" from top to bottom. The finish you see is created by adding a patina to turn silver black and than polishing with fine steel wool. Every marking on my hand stamped pieces is like a brush stroke on a painting to create a picture. The stamps that I use are all custom made by me to create my own original designs. It often takes several separate strikes with multiple stamps to create a picture. All my jewelry is one of a kind and made to provide a sense of comfort and hope for the one wearing it. I put a lot of love into all my pieces and they are each different like the ones wearing them. All my jewelry is solid Sterling Silver and/or Copper. No chemicals are used to coat, nor glues used for joints or attaching stones. Any joining of metals is with silver or copper solder, depending on the metal.
