These are like most all of my jewelry. I don't have a certain idea in mind when first starting. I pick up a stamp, and make a mark and than go from there. Making jewelry is a very sacred space for me and a time to sit down and be quiet and reflect, or not think at all. That is what these earrings embody. The finish on the metals is created by tumbling in special media for 12 hours to achieve the satin finish. The rainbow colors you see in the stampings are made from intense heat of a torch. Every marking on my hand stamped pieces is like a brush stroke on a painting to create a picture. The stamps that I use are all custom made by me to create my own original designs. It often takes several separate strikes with multiple stamps to create a picture. All my jewelry is one of a kind and made to provide a sense of comfort and hope for the one wearing it. I put a lot of love into all my pieces and they are each different like the ones wearing them.
All my jewelry is solid Sterling Silver and/or Copper. No chemicals are used to coat, nor glues used for joints or attaching stones. Any joining of metals is with silver or copper solder, depending on the metal.
